The R6

Last Thursday I shot my buddy's new bike he just got a few week before. So I gave him a call and asked him to bring if he could bring it by so that I could photograph his bike. He was all about it and was happy to bring it by for me. so here is one one of the shots from the shoot from last Thursday. It was a lot of fun to shoot and it was good to see my friend. The bike is a 2009 Yamaha R6 in all black with gold on the rims and fork. That is a really clean looking bike. I am looking forward to shooting nore bike. I think I am going to try to get my uncal Tom to bring his new Aprilia SXV 550 to shoot this weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Whale watching

So a few weeks ago I had a chances to go on a whale watching trip for class credit. I have always wanted to go on one so I jumped at it. I get to go see whales and get credit for class? I don't see a downside to this. And there was not, I had so much on this trip. It was a all day trip out of Santa Barbra and it when out to the Channel Island and we just floated around all day. So I had to make a small persontaion in class so I made a video to show and talk about a bit. So check it out hope you like it. And thanks for stopping by

Shooting fun

So this last Saturday I had another spec ad shoot with some art directors that that I go to school with. It was for Ridel wine glass. We where shooting 3 of the 6 wine glass they Ridel makes. So we shot three three models and they where to give the feeling of each wine they where to be. It was a pretty simple shoot three girls on white not to bad at all I had three asstistan on the job so it when really smoothly. I could not have done it without these guys they where a huge help on the day of the shoot. I also had a ton of help on the preproduction from my good friend and roomie cecilia Gavia. who made the whole thing so much easer for me. There was a lot of things that I did not have to thing about because of her help. One more reson why the shoot when so smoothly as it did for me. I can not say enght about my crew on that shoot if it was not for them my shoot would have not gone the way it did. So thanks a big thanks to you guy for all you put in to it.

I has been a long time.

Hey every one hows it going? I have not been on for some time now and not a ton has happen but, I would say a lot has gone on in my life. One school is coming to an end for good. Yes my academic career is over and it is now time to go back to the real world and try to make it after a 3 year break. On the work front I have done a bit of assisting for a photographer that I really like and his work is what I want to shoot for a living. I learned a lot from the two time that I work with him and his first assistant. They both gave me a ton of good info on how to shoot cars and run a real world set. It is not that far off of what we do at school but there are little things that are different. But that is just because of all the time on set and the experience of shooting a lot of job.

I got my web site up and my book is started. But your book is the kind of thing that is never done you are always working on it. I have come to the realization that I need to shoot more people for my sports book. I have the action in my book but not all the jobs that I may get in the future is going to be a action shots. I'm going to get the job that is just a person shot. I need to be able to show I can shoot that kind of stuff. So in between shooting more AD shot and action sports I will be shooting more people with all the time I'm going to have on my hands.

Well I am not every good at writing a ton. So I'm going to take off but I will be putting up more blog again so keep stopping by and checking in. And as always thanks for stopping by.
