AD shoot fun

Alright It has been a little bit from the last time I posted something. The other day I had A ad shoot with an art director from school and the ad brief was for a food bank for kids. I have not done a shoot for this art director but she has been a assistant art director on some other ad shoot that I have done. So I have work with her just not shot anything for you. She has been easy to work with on other shoot so I was looking forward to working with her and her Idea for the shoot was a good one. It was to have a kid in the images who you can tell is dirty and to show that they are trying to get food. They will have a plate in there hands and there will be food that you can put on it. This was the first time that I had to shoot kids like this. I have shot kids before but you just them playing or something like that. So that was one thing to think about. Also to get the right kid was the other big thing that need to be done. We found the two kids we wanted to use in this image and it was already to be be shot and three days before the shoot was to happen one of the kids had to back out. so we still have one kid to shoot but we not to cover our bases. so we need to find another kid fast! You can not shoot just one kid because you just don't know what is going to happen, they may just have a melt down and not be able to handle the shoot on this one day. So you need to have at least two kids. So we have like ten kids to pick from and we pick the top three we like just in case this happens. so we get the back up kid to come in and he was good. the other big thing you need to think about is how long the kid has been working on set. You do want to over work them one because the state says so and they get tiered. This is the 2nd kid that we shot. I am not using names just to be safe so we will just call them kid 1 and kid 2. I was a good day all around everyone showed up on time and there was no melt down by any kid on set they all had fun. Here is a shots of the assistant art director that was on the shoot. I used him to test the light that we were going to for the shoot. I have also worked with him on shoots. This was how I met jessis was the assistant Art director on Andrew's shoot. That was a fun and crazy term of shooting. so as always thanks for stopping by.
